About Dr. Duffy:
Dr. Nana Duffy is a dermatologist in private practice at Genesee Valley Dermatology and Laser Centre. She attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania and dermatology residency at the University of Rochester. She is also one of the co-founders and board members of the Black Physicians Network of Greater Rochester which is a 501c3 status charitable organization. This is a group of about 60 practicing black doctors in Rochester. Their goals include working with community organizations to improve the health of the black community and supporting children and young adults with an interest in careers in medicine.

Dr. Duffy was the winner of the Rochester Scleroderma Support Group’s Community Service Award in 2017, recognizing her efforts to support scleroderma patients in general and, specifically, to host the first joint dermatology / rheumatology grand rounds at the University of Rochester Medical Center. The event was planned in coordination with the Tri-State Chapter and attended by about 45 young physicians and some more seasoned rheumatologists, including Dr. Chris Ritchlin and Dr. Laura Hummers (Johns Hopkins). Overall the event scored excellent reviews by everyone in attendance.
