About Dr. Gialanella:
Dr. Gialanella completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. After graduating from Holy Cross he attended New York University College of Dentistry where he received his DDS degree. Upon his graduation from NYU, Dr. Gialanella completed a general practice residency program at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York. Dr. Gialanella is an active member in the Capital District Continuum for Advanced Dental Education, a local study group affiliated with the Seattle Study Club. He has completed Level II of the Orognathic Bioesthetic Institute continuing education course of study. Dr. Gialanella is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, New York State Dental Association, and currently serves as secretary for the Third District Dental Society. Dr. Gialanella will speak about the effects of scleroderma on your oral health. This presentation will touch on the topics of microstomia, xerostomia, denture care, temporomandibular joint dysfunction, periodontal disease, tooth resorption, side effects of medications, and helpful oral hygiene tips.
