About Dr. Akaya-Smith:
Dr. Kerri Akaya Smith is a pulmonologist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is board certified in critical care medicine and pulmonary disease. She is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania-Penn Presbyterian and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. She received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and did post-graduate training at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Beth Israel Hospital.

Dr. Smith has been the co-author of many articles related to pulmonary issues. Her research efforts revolve around heart, pulmonary and vascular disease. Along with seeing patients in the hospitals, she practices at the Harron Lung Center and Penn Heart and Vascular Center, Philadelphia, PA.
