About Dr. Jaffe:
Dr. Jaffe graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a Bachelor of Science Degree and received the Biochemistry award for scholarly excellence upon graduation. He earned his Medical Degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center. He was selected to be a Chief Resident and served with distinction, winning the ‘Excellence in Teaching’ Award during that year. Dr. Jaffe completed Gastroenterology Fellowship training at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center. He received the ‘Outstanding House Officer’ Teaching Award and was appointed to the faculty. He continued to receive several awards, was named as one of “America’s Best Doctors” for four consecutive years and was invited to speak at innumerable national and international meetings. At the University of Arizona he became the Medical Director of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Head of Clinical Gastroenterology. He was selected to head up the GI Section of the newest branch of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Naples, Florida. He was named the Medical Director of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and then became the Chairman of the Department of Medicine. Dr. Jaffe returned to the northeast where he became the Medical Director of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and then the Chief of Clinical Gastroenterology at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington until joining the Gastroenterology Center of Connecticut.
